This Mercury retrograde is one of the important turning points of 2009 because of the major conjunction that occurs simultaneously. We will experience transitions during the Mercury retrograde of 2009, but the one in May/June becomes extremely important because it brings in information that will be key to rectifying many issues that are moving us into new directions.

Because 2009 is universally an ELEVEN year (in numerology), the spiritual and intuitive connection plays a major role. The fact that this Mercury retrograde coincides with Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron connecting in Aquarius, signifies a time to focus on the spiritual connections of our belief systems and the ability to embrace humanity. Diversity is the key foundation of the ELEVEN with intuitive understanding and acceptance of the "service component of the inner essence" can only occur if there is a great deal of acceptance and non-judgment that accompanies this understanding.
